At Effingham

Champaign Edison came calling and picked up a 54-17 win over Effingham in eighth-grade action Saturday.

Edison moved out to an 18-2 opening quarter lead and that was the contest.

Raddatz and Ring tallied five points each for the Mustangs.

In seventh-grade play, Champaign Edison edged Effingham, 31-29. The score was tied at 6-6 after the opening quarter and 14-14 at halftime. Edison then had an 11-7 third quarter. The Mustangs came back with an 8-6 final period but fell short.

Kellams led the Mustangs with 12 points. EJHS dropped to 3-8.
