Freshman/Sophomore Boys Basketball -- Dec. 12

Effingham St. Anthony nabbed both a freshman and a sophomore win over Sullivan in boys basketball action Thursday.

In freshman play, the Bulldogs were 60-33 winners. St. Anthony held a 36-9 halftime lead. Jonathan Willenborg led the way with 25 points while Max Sager added 18.

In the sophomore contest, St. Anthony tallied a 57-31 victory behind Brody Niebrugge's scoring. Niebrugge scored a basket in the opening quarter then broke loose with a 14 point second period and tallied 10 in the third quarter. He finished with 28 points. Also in double figures was Kyle Stewart with 18.
