Effingham nabbed two victories over North Clay (Louisville) in junior high girls basketball action Monday.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade game, 32-3. Effingham stepped out to a 14-0 first inning lead. Althoff scored eight for the winners.
Leading North Clay was Boose with two.
In eighth-grade action, Effingham won 42-31. Olivia Moser scored 14 and Makala McDaniel 12 for the Mustangs.
North Clay was led by Camdyn Tappendorf with 17 and Alexis VanDyke with 10.

At Beecher City
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split victories with Sullivan in Monday evening action.
Sullivan claimed the 19-14 seventh-grade game. Miller tallied seven for the winners.
CHBC was led by Birgen Schlanser and Macee Rodman with six each. CHBC dropped to 6-8 on the season.
In the eighth-grade game, CHBC was a 31-24 winner and improved to 7-8.
Sullivan led 13-12 at halftime. The score was tied at 18-18 going into the final quarter. CHBC then had a 13-6 run for pull out the victory.
Shae Nohren scored 12 and Ruby Stuckemeyer 11 for the winners. Sullivan was led by Norton with 10

At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg nabbed two victories over Okaw Valley Monday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, Stew-Stras had a 16-11 halftime lead then had an 8-0 third quarter run and finished out with 29-19 win.
Quast led the way with 11 points as Stew-Stras improved to 8-7. Okaw Valley was led by Mills with six.
In eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras held a 15-9 halftime lead and went on for a 33-29 victory.
S. Vonderheide scored 14 and Kinkelaar 11 for the winners who improve to 9-4. Okaw Valley was led by Montgomery with 12.
