The Mustangs won the seventh-grade encounter, 43-17. Effingham held an 18-6 halftime lead.
Beals and Althoff provided the one-two scoring punch for Effingham with 17 and 13 points respectively. The Mustangs are now 8-1 on the season.
In eighth-grade competition, Olney picked up a 35-30 victory with a 17-7 final period run. The score was tied at 15-15 at halftime and Effingham moved ahead 23-18 in the third period.
Rylea Hodge, Olivia Moser and Reagan Boone tallied eight points each for the Mustangs.

North Clay (Louisville) and Brownstown/St. Elmo split victories Monday.
North Clay was a winner in seventh-grade play, 28-21.
Brownstown/St. Elmo took the eighth-grade match, 35-23.
