North Clay and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split girls junior high basketball victories Saturday.
CHBC claimed the seventh-grade contest, 39-23. CHBC held a 22-19 third period lead and had a 17-4 final period run.
CHBC was led by Birgen Schlanser with 21 points. North Clay was led by Leah Wetherholt with 11.
In eighth-grade action, North Clay edged out to a 19-11 first half lead then had a 24-21 second half.
North Clay was led by Camdyn Tappendorf with 20 points and Alexis VanDyke with 10. CHBC was led by Ruby Stuckemeyer with 14.
