Effingham St. Anthony fell to Taylorville in junior high girls basketball action Monday.
Taylorville claimed the seventh-grade contest, 34-14. Taylorville zipped out to a 21-1 opening quarter lead. Leading the Bullpups was A. Soltwedel with five points.
In eighth-grade action, Taylorville was a 29-16 winner. Taylorville held a 19-5 halftime lead. St. Anthony came back to outscore the visitors in the second half, but couldn't make up that first half deficit.
The Bullpups were led by M. Kibler and H. Niebrugge with five points each.

At Oblong
Dieterich claimed two wins over Oblong in Monday action.
Dieterich won the seventh-grade game, 29-18. Dieterich took a 15-6 halftime lead. Brittney Niemerg led the winners with 13 points.
In the eighth-grade game, Dieterich picked up a 33-19 win. Ruby Westendorf tallied 13 to lead the winners.

Sigel St. Michael claimed two victories over Stewardson-Strasburg Monday.
The Sharpshooters took the seventh-grade contest, 27-9. St. Michael had even scoring as Will, Osborn and Moran tallied six points each. Stew-Stras was led by Hayes with seven. Stew-Stras drops to 2-2.
In eighth-grade action, St. Michael claimed a 38-21 win. Hattoon scored 11 and Mette 10 for the winners.
Stew-Stras was led by Kinkelaar with eight. The squad drops to 2-2.

Nokomis clamied the seventh-grade game, 31-12. Birgen Schlanser led CHBC with six points. The squad drops to 3-2 on the season.
In eighth-grade play, CHBC edged Nokomis, 21-20.
Abbi Morgason and Ruby Stuckemeyer scored six points each as CHBC improved to 3-2.
