Effingham Wins Own Summer Tourney

Effingham High School won its own boys basketball tournament Friday.

Effingham Red opened with a win over Robinson, then defeated Casey-Westfield to advance to the title contest. The Hearts then downed Breese Central for the championship.

Finishing third was Charleston over Casey-Westfield. The consolation championship went to Newton over Mattoon. Seventh-place was captured by Robinson over Effingham White.
