Raptors Win NBA Title, Kawhi Named MVP

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals Thursday night. Toronto won the title for the first time in franchise history and became the first team outside the U.S. to win the championship. The loss also marked Golden State’s final game at Oracle Arena.

Toronto’s Kawhi Leonard was named NBA Finals MVP Thursday night, becoming the first player to win the honor in both conferences. Leonard also won the title after leading the San Antonio Spurs over the Miami Heat five years ago.


Lakers Renew Trade Talks With Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers have renewed trade talks with the New Orleans Pelicans involving Anthony Davis. Word is that the Lakers are offering Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and the fourth overall pick in next week’s NBA Draft. However, it’s rumored that New Orleans also wants Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart.


Walker Says He'd Take Less Money

Three-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker says he’d consider taking less money than he’s eligible to make to stay with the Charlotte Hornets if it would mean helping them build a winning team. The Hornets can offer Walker a five-year “supermax” contract worth up to $221 million, while other teams can only offer a four-year deal worth $140 million.
