The Golden State Warriors beat the Portland Trail Blazers 119-117 in overtime to sweep their way to a fifth straight NBA Finals appearance.
Stephen Curry and Draymond Green recorded triple-doubles, becoming the first teammates in NBA postseason history to do so in the same game. The Warriors will face either the Milwaukee Bucks or Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals beginning on May 30th.
Timberwolves' Saunders Named Coach
The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken the ‘interim’ tag off coach Ryan Saunders. The 33-year-old son of the late Flip Saunders becomes the first millennial coach in the NBA.
Johnson Answers About Resignation
Magic Johnson has revealed that he suddenly resigned from the Los Angeles Lakers because he found out that GM Rob Pelinka said behind his back that he wasn't working hard enough. Magic also joked that he’d been "fined enough" for tampering.
