CHBC Claims Victory; St. Anthony Drops Game to Paris

Effingham St. Anthony hosted Paris and fell to the Tigers 47-42 in non-conference girls basketball action Saturday.
The Bulldogs broke a 10-10 opening quarter tie to lead 18-16 at halftime. St. Anthony held a 30-24 lead going into the final quarter. Paris then knocked down its free throws and went on a 23-12 final quarter run to pull out the victory.
St. Anthony was led by Makayla Walsh with 16 and Lexie Niebrugge with 14.

At Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City
With a 34-20 halftime run, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City defeated Tuscola 73-40 in a non-conference contest Saturday.
The Hornets' Micah Jones tallied 25 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the win. Ava Paruleski scored 15, Jensyn Morrison 14 and Autumn Riley 11. The Hornets improve their record to 17-5 on the season.
CHBC will be back in action tonight at Beecher City hosting Brownstown in Senior Night festivities.
