Area Players Don't Make Finals In Three-Point Showdown

Two area players competed in the Three-Point Showdown at the Class 1A State Girls Basketball Tournament in Normal Thursday.

Olivia Titus, a junior from Neoga, knocked in eight three-pointers but did not advance to the finals.

Tabitha Endsley, a senior from Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, also failed to advance. Endsley had three trifectas.

Advancing were Mya Thillet, a freshman from Chicago Hope Academy, who hit nine in opening round competition and seven in the playoff, Addison Miller, a senior from Mendon Unity, with nine in the first round and six in the playoff, Erin Henze, a junior from Lanark Eastland who knocked in nine and four in the playoff and Jadyn Mitchell, a senior from Flanagan-Cornell, who hit 11.
