Junior high school boys basketball seventh-grade regionals continued Tuesday evening.
In the Class 7-1A Stewardson-Strasburg Regional, Dieterich and Stewardson-Strasburg advanced to the title game.
Dieterich defeated Windsor 49-20 in the opening game of the evening. Stew-Stras then edged Sigel St. Michael 25-22. Dieterich will square off against Stew-Stras at 6 p.m. Thursday for the championship. The winner advances to the Stew-Stras Sectional Wednesday, January 30 against Palestine.
In the Class 7-3A Assumption Central A&M Regional, Shelbyville Moulton defeated Sullivan 42-29 and Assumption Central A&M won over St. Elmo 43-32.
The regional continues tonight as Teutopolis takes on Arthur at 6 and Shelbyville Moulton faces Assumption Central A&M at 7:15. The winners advance to the championship game Thursday at 6 p.m.
In the Class 7-3A Casey-Westfield Regional, Marshall downed host Casey-Westfield 32-17 in the opener. Red Hill (Bridgeport) faced Robinson Nuttall in the second game, but no score was reported.
Marshall faces either Red Hill or Robinson Nuttall at 6 p.m. Thursday for the championship.
In the Class 7-1A Palestine Regional, host Palestine edged Kansas 18-13 to win the championship. Palestine heads to the Stewardson-Strasburg Sectional Wednesday, January 30 to face the winner of the Stew-Stras Regional.
At Mattoon
In regular season action, Teutopolis handed Mattoon two losses in eighth-grade play.
T-town won the A contest 41-30 with an 18-10 lead at halftime. Lucas Deters tallied 17 for the winners while Blake Mette chipped in with eight.
In the eighth-grade B game, T-town won 51-21. The Booties held a 26-2 halftime lead and never looked back. Caleb Ordner tallied 15, Kyle McMahon 11 and Devin Mette 11 for the winners.

At Vandalia
St. Elmo/Brownstown picked up a semifinal victory in the Vandalia Eighth-Grade Tournament. St. Elmo/Brownstown claimed a 38-21 win over host Vandalia.
Kroll tallied 17 for the winners while Austin chipped in with eight.
