CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham St. Anthony opened play in the Champaign Centennial Sophomore Boys Basketball Tournament with a victory Saturday.
The Bulldogs claimed a 56-49 win over Urbana. St. Anthony trailed Urbana 22-18 at halftime but came back with an 11-7 third period to lead by two going into the final quarter. St. Anthony kept the pressure on with a 27-20 final period.
Craig Croy tallied 15 for the Bulldogs while Eli Moore chipped in with 12.
