Effingham St. Anthony and Charleston split victories in boys freshman/sophomore basketball competition Thursday.

St. Anthony captured the freshman game, 59-54. The Bulldogs trailed 29-28 at halftime but came back with an 18-8 third quarter run.

Craig Croy tallied 27, scoring 13 points in that third quarter run. Also in double figures were Kyle Stewart with 13.

In the sophomore game, Charleston claimed a 53-47 victory. The Trojans took a 19-8 opening quarter lead and that was the game.

St. Anthony was led by Grant Nuxoll with10 points.
