Class 1A, 2A Boys Regional Pairings Released

Eight area teams will be competing in Class 1A regionals that include St. Elmo/Brownstown, Odin, Neoga and Edinburg. Those four regionals will feed into the Altamont Sectional and the Carbondale Super-Sectional.

Altamont drew the No. 1 seed in the St. Elmo/Brownstown Regional while St. Elmo/Brownstown was No. 4 and Dieterich No. 5. Also in the regional are No. 12 Oblong and No. 12 Martinsville.

North Clay/Clay City drew the No. 2 seed and will compete in the Odin Regional along with No. 7 South Central, No. 3 Mulberry Grove, No. 6 Odin, No. 9 Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran and No. 13 Sandoval.

No. 3 went to Neoga in its own regional while No. 11 Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will also be competing. Other teams include No. 2 Nokomis, No. 5 Hume Shiloh (Tri-County), No. 7 Arcola and No. 10 Chrisman.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg will compete in the Edinburg Regional and drew the No. 4 seed. Also in the regional are No. 6 Buffalo Tri-City, No. 8 Bethany Okaw Valley, No. 9 Ramsey, No. 12 Niantic Sangamon Valley and No. 13 Edinburg Co-op.

The Class 2A boys teams will be competing in the Shelbyville, Effingham St. Anthony, Harrisburg and Mount Carmel Regionals. Those regional winners will head to the Vandalia Sectional and from there to the Carbondale Super-sectional.

Teutopolis drew the No. 1 seed at the St. Anthony Regional while the host Bulldogs are No. 4, Cumberland No. 6 and Newton No. 10. Robinson drew the No. 8 seed.
