The Hearts edged out to a 13-10 opening quarter lead and held that same three-point lead at halftime, 20-17. EHS came out with an 11-8 third quarter and the two teams played even in the final period.
Carsyn Fearday tallied 21 points for EHS while Miranda Fox chipped in with nine.
The Hearts improve to 9-1 in the conference and stand at 23-4 overall. Mattoon dropped to 3-5 in the conference, 15-14 overall.

Tetuopolis claimed a 52-48 victory over Bloomington Central Catholic in action Friday.
Central Catholic edged out to a 13-12 opening quarter lead but T-town came back to lead 23-22 at halftime. The Wooden Shoes then had a 17-10 third period and held off Bloomington Central Catholic in the final period.
Lexie Niebrugge led the Shoes with 17 points while Claire Bushur chipped in with 14 and Sadie Bueker with 13.
