The Bullpups won their opener over Princeville, 36-30 in overtime at Bartonville Limestone High School Saturday.
St. Anthony edged out to an 8-7 opening quarter lead and led 16-13 at halftime. St. Anthony led 24-17 going into the final quarter when Princeville came back to tie the score at 25-25 sending the game into overtime. In the overtime period, St. Anthony had an 11-5 run.
Colin Westendorf led the way for the Bullpups with 11 points while Beau Adams chipped in with 10.
In other opening round games, Decatur Robertson defeated Carthage 49-16, Burr Ridge MS won over Lexington 47-20 and Peoria St. Vincent de Paul downed Springfield Chisit the King 47-36.
In the semifinals, Decatur Robertson defeated St. Anthony, 46-20 and Peoria St. Vincent de Paul edged Burr Ridge MS, 32-31.
Decatur Robertson ripped out to a 21-1 opening quarter lead on St. Anthony and that was the game.
Connor Roepke tallied eight for the Bullpups who dropped into the third place contest with a 17-11 record and will take on Burr Ridge MS (20-6) at 6 p.m. Thursday.
In the championship contest, Decatur Robertson (21-1) faces Peoria St. Vincent de Paul (27-1) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Class 7-1A State Tournament
Newton St. Thomas saw its stay at the Class 7-1A State Tournament at East Peoria Central Junior High School come to a close after opening round play.
St. Thomas fell to Griggsville-Perry, 32-25 in the first game Saturday.
St. Thomas took a 6-4 opening quarter lead but Griggsville-Perry came back to lead 13-10 at halftime then had a 19-15 second half.
St. Thomas was led by Dylan Gier with nine and Jacob Weber with seven. The squad finishes the season at 18-1.
In other first round games, Oglesby Holy Family won over Pontiac St. Mary's 46-43, Washington St. Patrick downed Kewanee Visitation 28-15 and Lincoln Carroll Catlholic defeated Royal Prairieview Ogden 37-22.
In the semifinals, Griggsville-Perry won over Oglesby Holy Family 46-8 and Lincoln Carroll Catholic downed Washington St. Patrick 40-20.
Oglesby Holy Family faces Washington St. Patrick at 6 p.m .Thursday for third place while Griggsville-Perry meets Lincoln Carroll Catholic at 7:30 p.m. for the championship.

Class 7-3A State Tournament
Teutopolis fell in opening round play of the Class 7-3A State Tournament at Wenona Fieldcrest Saturday.
South Holland McKinley edged out to a 7-6 opening quarter lead and led 14-9 at halftime over the Shoes. T-town came back with a 13-11 third period but South Holland McKinley regrouped and had a 7-6 final period.
Tyler Pruemer led T-town with 15 points. The Shoes end the season with a 24-1 record.
In other first round games, Litchfield edged Eureka 39-37, Athens won over Taylor Ridge Rockridge 35-30 and Forrest Prairie Central downed St. Joseph 54-30.
In semifinal play, Athens downed Litchfield 35-22 and Forrest Prairie Central won over South Holland McKinley 42-36.
Litchfield meets South Holland McKinley at 6 p.m. Thursday for third place while Athens takes on Forrest Prairire Central at 7:30 p.m. for the championship.

SIJHSAA Class S State Tournament
Altamont Lutheran competed in opening round play at the Class S State Tournament at Rend Lake College Saturday.
But, Lutheran fell to Steeleville St. Mark's 47-39.
In other opening round play, Goreville downed Selmaville 55-52, Energy Unity Christian defeated Olney St. Joe 50-36, New Hope won over Raccoon 45-29, Oakdale downed Mascoutah Holy Childhood 62-34, Meridian beat Webber Township (Bluford) 66-54, Aviston edged Woodlawn 36-30 and New Simpson Hill beat New Athens 40-34.
Class 8-3A Lawrenceville Parkview Regional
Teutopolis is headed to sectional action after picking up the Class 8-3A Lawrenceville Parkview Reginal Saturday.
T-town pounded the host squad, 58-24. The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 9-8 opening quarter lead then had a 17-3 second period and never looked back.
James Niebrugge led the way for the Shoes with 11 while Caleb Siemer added 10.
T-town now heads to the Cumberland Sectional Wednesday and will face host Cumberland at 6:30 p.m. The winner advances to the Class 8-3A State Tournament.
