PARIS -- Jasper County tallied two victories over Paris Mayo in junior high boys basketball competition Tuesday.
Jasper County claimed the seventh-grade game, 33-21. Flowers led the way with 10 points as Jasper County improved to 9-10.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County edged Paris Mayo, 49-43. Marc Jansen and Nick Shamhart had 14 each for the winners while Owen Mahaffey added 12. Jasper County is now 5-15.

Newton St. Thomas claimed two wins over Palestine/Hutsonville Tuesday.
St. Thomas won the seventh-grade contest, 51-7. St. Thomas took a 22-3 opening quarter lead and never looked back. B. Bergbower led in scoring with 11 points.
In the eighth-grade matchup, St. Thomas won 50-15. St. Thomas had a 35-4 halftime lead. Buerster tallied 12 for the winners.

At Greenville
Two games were contested at the James Burke Memorial Tournament Tuesday evening.
Hillsboro defeated Salem, 30-26 and Greenville won over Roxana, 42-29.
Hillsboro will now face Greenville for the consolation championship Friday at 5 p.m.
Effingham will take on Triad at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by St. Anthony facing Aviston at 7. The winners advance to the championship game Friday at 7 p.m. while the losers will play for third place at 6 p.m.
