The Hearts edged out to a 12-10 opening quarter lead and pushed that to 31-22 at halftime. Marshall came back with a 23-18 third period run to pull within 49-45 going into the final quarter. But the Hearts got back on track with a 23-18 final period.

B. Pals led the way with 17 points while M. Woelfer added 16, J. Briggerman 15 and J. Volpi 14.

Marshall was led by L. Medsker with 18, L. Cook with 17 and A. Sisson with 12.
