Windsor/Stew-Stras Claims Girls Cage Win

BROWNSTOWN -- Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg High School claimed a 58-48 National Trail Conference girls basketball victory over St. Elmo/Brownstown Wednesday, 58-48.
The Hatchets edged out to a 12-11 opening quarter lead on SEB then had a 16-7 second period run to lead 28-18 at halftime. Five players scored in that second period run.
Four players hit double figures for the Hatchets. Nikki Trussell, a 5-foot-9 senior, led the way with 17 points while Katrina Davis added 14, nine in the final quarter, Megan Schlechte with 12 and Hannah Hayes 10.
BSE had three players in double figures. Olivia Campbell, a 5-foot-8 sophomore, led with 13 points while Claire Wilhour added 11 and Natalie Oberlink 10 points and 15 rebounds.
