Nokomis Hands BSE Boys Loss

ST. ELMO -- Nokomis leaped out to an 18-2 opening quarter lead and went on to down St. Elmo/Brownstown 57-41 in high school boys non-conference basketball action Thursday.

BSE steadied after the opening quarter but couldn't make up that 16-point deficit.

Andy Goldborough led SEB with 13 points and eight rebounds. Jacob Baron also pulled down eight rebounds. Jace McWhorter had two steals. Goldsborough, Philpot and Bryton Pruett had two assists each.

St. Elmo/Brownstown drops to 6-6 on the season and will be back in action Saturday at the North Clay (Louisville) Shootout.
