FINDLAY -- Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg broke a 34-34 tie going into the final quarter with an 11-5 run to pull out a 45-39 non-conference boys high school basketball win over Okaw Valley Tuesday evening.
The Hatchets edged out to an 18-16 opening quarter lead but Okaw Valley tied in the second quarter. Both teams scored eight in the third period to head into the final quarter tied at 34-34.
Two players scored in double figures for the Hatchets. Gavin Wernsing, a freshman, led with 14 while Jackson Miller chipped in with 10.
Windsor/Stew-Stras improves to 7-5 on the season. The Hatchets also claimed the junior varsity game, 39-31.

At Altamont
Cumberland came calling and claimed a 65-62 non-conference victory over Altamont Tuesday evening.
The score was tied at 17-17 after the opening quarter. Altamont then had an 18-12 second period run as Aidan Jahraus nailed four baskets for eight points and Alek Biggs scored seven.
But here came the Pirates. Cumberland came out to rattle off a 21-14 third quarter to lead 50-49 going into the final period. Cumberland held the momentum, hitting its free throws for a 15-13 final period and the three point victory. The Pirates connected on six of eight free throws in that final quarter.
Zach Wolke, a senior, tallied 21 to lead four players in double figures for Cumberland. Myles Gerhardt added 11 while Ross Hemmen and Brennyn Cutts tallied 10 each.
Altamont was led by Biggs with 29 as he hit five field goals that included three trifectas and was 10 of 13 at the line. Jahraus finished with 17.
Altamont was a winner in the junior varsity contest, 68-60 in overtime.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) played host to Cisne in non-conference action Tuesday evening and came out a 53-37 winner.
Luke Fleener and Tyson Jones tallied 12 points each while Nick Miller added 10.
The Cardinals improve to 7-4 on the season and will take on Okaw Valley Saturday in the North Clay Shootout.
The Shootout schedule includes: Game 1 -- Ramsey vs. Webber Township (Bluford), 9 a.m.; Game 2 -- Flora vs. Odin, 10:30 a.m.; Game 3 -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City vs. Sandoval, noon; Game 4 -- South Central vs. Grayville, 1:30 p.m.; Game 5 -- St. Elmo/Brownstown vs. Cisne, 3:30 p.m.; Game 6 -- Neoga vs. Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran, 5 p.m.; Game 7 -- North Clay vs. Okaw Valley, 6:30 p.m.; Game 8 -- Dieterich vs. Wayne City.
At Charleston
Charleston played host to Newton in non-conference action and claimed a 71-64 victory Tuesday.
The Trojans took a 43-30 halftime lead and never looked back in this one.
Newton was led by Kyle Schafer with 20, Justin Zumbahlen 12 and Seth Weber 10.
Charleston had four players in double figures. Miller led with 16 followed by Hurst 14, Simpson 13 and Spour 11.
Newton drops to 3-7 on the season.
Charleston also claimed the junior varsity game, 58-48.

Shelbyville outlasted Neoga in a non-conference contest Tuesday, 92-82.
The Indians edged out to a 19-18 first quarter lead on Shelbyville but the Rams came roaring back with a 29-18 second period to lead 47-37 at halftime. Shelbyville continued its run with a 30-18 third quarter. Neoga came back with a 27-15 final period only to fall short.
Neoga was led by Reece Johnson, a 6-foot sophomore, with 40 points. He scored 17 points in the final period. Also in double figures was Levi Peters with 12.
