SHELBYVILLE -- Altamont and Shelbyville split victories in junior high boys basketball action Monday evening.
Shelbyville claimed the seventh-grade contest, 56-14. Shelbyville took a 34-10 halftime lead and never looked back.
Altamont was led in scoring by Fenton with nine.
Altamont then claimed the eighth-grade game, 40-31. Altamont held a 21-19 halftime lead then had a 15-7 third quarter.
Jared Hammer and Eric Kollmann tallied 13 points each for the winners.

At Mattoon
Teutopolis downed Mattoon in both games Monday evening.
The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 10-3 opening quarter lead in seventh-grade play and went on for a 45-11 victory.
Evan Waldhoff led the way for the Shoes with 11 points.
In eighth-grade action, T-town outdistanced Mattoon 12-4 in the second period and went on for a 36-19 victory.
Brendan Niebrugge, Caleb Siemer and James Niebrugge scored eight points each for the Shoes.
T-town is now 15-0 in both seventh and eighth-grade games.

Stewardson-Strasburg picked up the eighth-grade contest over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Monday evening.
Stew-Stras was a 49-26 winner taking a 29-12 halftime lead. Nothaus scored 19 and A. Wittenberg 17 for the winners who improve to 16-0.
In seventh-grade play, ALAH was a 37-17 winner. ALAH had a 14-2 opening quarter and an 11-1 third period.
Stew-Stras was led in scoring by Manhart with 11. Stew-Stras drops to 6-11.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) picked up two victories over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Wednesday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, North Clay was a 58-44 winner. North Clay held a 31-20 halftime lead but led by only four going into the final quarter. North Clay then had 17-7 final period run.
Kuenstler led the way for the winners with 25 while Dawkins and Groves scored 13 each.
CHBC was led by Clayton Wojcik with 14.
In eighth-grade play, North Clay won 38-19. North Clay took an 18-3 opening half lead.
Fleener and Boose led the way for the winners with 12 points each. CHBC was led by Hayden Corley with seven.
