Woodruff Resigns as Hearts Boys Coach

The resignation is effective immediately.

A statement released by EHS Principal Kurt Roberts and Activity Director David Woltman states, "Coach Woodruff indicated that at this time circumstances exist that prevent the team from reaching their full potential, and has decided to step down to allow an opportunity for better results."
JV Coach Obie Farmer has been named varsity coach through the end of the season. The statement indicates "the remaining coaching staff will be adjusted to fill open positions."
Colton Booher and Justin Heiden have been serving as freshman and sophomore boys basketball coaches.
The end of the statement indicates "Effingham Unit 40 thanks Coach Woodruff for his efforts on behalf of the EHS boys basketball program and wish him the best in his future endeavors."
