ALTAMONT -- Stewardson-Strasburg downed Altamont in junior high boys basketball action Tuesday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, Stew-Stras was a 33-20 winner. Stew-Stras held a 22-10 halftime lead.
Bridges led Stew-Stras with 10 points while Manhart added nine. Altamont was led by Fenton with 15.
In the eighth-grade game, Stew-Stras picked up a 44-20 victory. Stew-Stras had a 22-6 third quarter run after leading by only three at halftime.
Stew-Stras was led by J. Wittenberg with 13 and Nothaus with 12. Altamont was led by Hammer with seven.

At Lawrenceville
Lawrenceville Parkview captured two wins over Jasper County in Tuesday evening action.
Lawrenceville won the seventh-grade contest, 52-39 with a 29-19 halftime lead. Underhill tallied 32 for the winners.
Jasper County (7-7) was led by Flowers with 22.
In eighth-grade play, Lawrenceville Parkview edged Jasper County, 31-27. Jasper County took a 7-6 opening quarter lead but Lawrenceville led 16-12 at halftime and 18-17 going into the final period then had a 13-10 run.
Jansen led Jasper County (2-12) with nine points.

At Dieterich
Dieterich captured two victories over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in action Tuesday evening.
Dieterich was a 31-28 winner in seventh-grade play. CHBC held a 10-2 opening quarter lead and led 16-11 at halftime. Dieterich came back with a 20-12 second half to pull out the victory.
Jack Holste led the winners with 13 points while Gephart chipped in with 10. CHBC was led by Clayton Wojcik with 17.
In eighth-grade action, Dieterich downed CHBC, 46-15.
Dieterich held a 22-5 halftime lead and that was the game. Britton tallied 18 to lead the winners while Kidd added 11.
CHBC was led by Trevor Theis with eight.
