SIGEL -- In the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament Monday evening, two games were contested.
Dieterich claimed a 36-19 victory over South Central while Neoga downed Effingham Sacred Heart 25-22 in consolation bracket action.
Dieterich and Neoga will meet Thursday for the consolation championship.
Games tonight feature Sigel St. Michael against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 6:15 while St. Elmo/Brownstown takes on North Clay (Louisville) at 7:30 in winner bracket play. The winners advance to the championship Thursday at 8 while the losers square off for third place at 6:45.
At Effingham
Effingham edged Centralia 48-45 in eighth-grade action Monday evening.
Centralia held a 21-18 halftime lead and led 36-28 going into the final quarter. The Mustangs came roaring back with a 20-9 run to pull out the victory.
Estrada tallied 14, Heil 12 and Wolfe 10 for the winners. Estrada led in steals with six.
Effingham, who hit 56 percent from the free throw line, improved to 9-3 on the season.
Centralia hit eight three-pointers in the game.
In the seventh-grade action, Centralia was a 31-27 winner over the Mustangs.
Effingham held a 7-4 opening quarter lead but Centralia came back to lead at half and went on for the win.
Pals scored seven while Lewis had six for Effingham.

At Flora
Effingham St. Anthony fell to Flora Floyd Henson in action Monday evening.
Flora claimed the seventh-grade game, 24-23. The Bullpups stepped out to an 8-1 first quarter lead and led 13-8 at halftime and 19-14 going into the final quarter. Flora then rallied with a 10-4 run to pull out the one point victory.
St. Anthony was led by Max Koenig and Lane Ludwig with six each.
In eighth-grade play, Flora claimed a 55-48 victory.
The Bullpups held a 13-7 opening quarter lead and led 27-17 at halftime. Flora came back to pull within one in the third quarter then outscored the Bullpups for a 55-48 victory.
St. Anthony was led by Sehy with 15 points and Hoene with 10.

At Ramsey
Fifty was the magic number as Altamont Lutheran defeated Ramsey in both seventh and eighth-grade play Monday evening.
ALIS won the seventh-grade game, 50-18. ALIS jumped out to a 26-11 halftime lead. Adam McManaway scored 15 and Dylan Elam 14 for the winners.
ALIS then took the eighth-grade game, 50-33. Altamont Lutheran held a 27-11 halftime lead and never looked back.
Nathan Shepard tallied 13 for the winners while Mason Robinson added 10.

At Bridgeport
Jasper County downed Red Hill (Bridgeport) in both games Monday evening.
Jasper County won the seventh-grade contest, 45-29, taking a 24-14 hafltime lead. Nichols scored 16 while Flowers tallied 14 for the winners who improved to 6-5.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County was a 43-13 winner. Jasper County held a 17-2 opening quarter lead. Reynolds scored 12 for the winners who are now 3-8.
