In its first contest, Altamont edged Bloomington Corpus Christi, 41-40. Altamont held a 23-14 halftime lead but Corpus Christi came back with a 17-7 third quarter to lead 31-30 going into the final period. Altamont then had an 11-9 final period for the win.
Grace Nelson tallied 17 to lead the winners while Kylie Osteen added 12.
In other first round games, Mendon Unity downed Lockport Kelvin Grove 47-34, Brimfield beat Paris Crestwood 23-20 and Havana wno over Springfield Blessed Sacrament 39-35.
Altamont then faced Mendon Unity and dropped a 33-28 contest. The two teams were tied at 6-6 after the opening quarter and Mendon Unity held a 15-13 halftime lead. Altamont came back with an 8-7 third period to pull within 22-21 going into the final quarter only to see Mendon Unity take an 11-7 edge for the win.
Nelson was the lone Altamont player in double figures with 15.
In the other semifinal contest, Havana downed Brimfield, 35-16.
Altamont (19-9) will meet Brimfield at 6 p.m. Thursday for third place while Mendon Unity takes on Havana at 7:30 for the championship.

Class 7-1A State Tournament
Sigel St. Michael opened the Class 7-1A State Tournament with a 24-20 loss to Mount Pulaski Saturday at Assumption Central A&M Middle School.
Mount Pulaski ran off to an 8-0 first quarter lead. The Sharpshooters rallied with a 6-1 second period to pull within 7-6 at halftime then tied the score at 14-14 in the third quarter. The two teams tallied four points each in the fourth period and the game went into overtime. Mount Pulaski then had a 6-2 run for the win.
St. Michael was led by Abbi Hatton with seven points. The Sharpshooters ended the season with an 18-7 record.
In other opening round contests, Lincoln West Lincoln-Broadwell trounced Ashland A-C Central 53-16, Annawan downed Cissna Park 30-14 and Ottawa Wallace won over Bartonville Monroe 45-22.
In the semifinals, Lincoln West Lincoln-Broadwell again had a big scoring contest with a 62-9 win over Annawan and Ottawa Wallace edged Mount Pulaski 36-31.
Annawan and Mount Pulaski will meet for third place Thursday at 6 p.m. while Lincoln West Lincoln-Broadwell takes on Ottawa Wallace at 7:30 for the state title.
