SIGEL -- Sigel St. Michael played host to Effingham Sacred Heart and handed the Shamrocks two losses in junior high boys basketball action Tuesday evening.
The Sharpshooters claimed the seventh-grade game, 34-15. Niebrugge led the way with 11 points while Hatton chipped in with eight for the winners. Sacred Heart was led by Noah Biggs with 12 points.
In eighth-grade play, St. Michael was a 36-26 winner. The Shamrocks held an 18-16 halftime lead but St. Michael came back with a 20-8 second half.
Niebrugge led eight players in scoring with nine points for the Sharpshooters. Sacred Heart was led by N. Wiedman with eight.

At Salem
Effingham and Salem Franklin Park split victories Tuesday evening.
Franklin Park claimed the sevneth-grade game, 36-23. Franklin Park took a 7-2 opening quarter lead and led 17-6 at halftime.
Effingham was led by Raddatz with 12 points. The Mustangs drop to 3-7.
In eighth-grade action, Effingham downed Franklin Park, 51-23. The Mustangs held a 30-9 halftime lead.
Wolfe tallied 14 points while Estrada added 10 poitns and five steals. Effingham improves to 7-3.

At St. Anthony
Altamont Lutheran came calling and took home a seventh-grade victory over Effingham St. Anthony Tuesday.
Altamont Lutheran edged the Bullpups 45-42. Lutheran took a 10-5 opening quarter lead but trailed St. Anthony 19-18 at halftime. Lutheran then came out in the second half with a 27-23 run.
Aden McManaway tallied 18 while Dylan Elam added 10 for the winners. St. Anthony was led by Max Koenig and Andrew Brandenburger with nine each.
In eighth-grade action, the Bullpups captured a 47-29 victory. St. Anthony held a 24-13 halftime lead.
Willenborg tallied 16 while Flach added 11 for the Bullpups. Altamont Lutheran was led by Cornett with 13.

North Clay (Louisvile) picked up a couple of victories over Neoga in action Tuesday evening.
North Clay was a 48-22 winner in seventh-grade play. North Clay held a 20-6 halftime lead. Dawkins tallied 17 while Casolari added 10.
Neoga was led by Hall with 10.
In eighth-grade play, North Clay led 28-15 at halftime went went on for a 46-38 victory.
Fleener and Boose tallied 15 poitns each for the winners. Reynolds led Neoga with 11.

Jasper County fell to visiting Robinson in two games Tuesday.
Robinson captured the seventh-grade contest, 47-33. Robinson ran off to a 21-11 opening quarter lad and never looked back.
Jasper County was led by Nichols with 15 points. The squad is now 4-5.
In eighth-grade play, Jasper County was a 34-28 winner. Robinson led 14-11 at halftime but Jasper County had a 12-6 third quarter to lead 23-20 gonig into the final quarter. Robinson then rallied for a 14-5 run to pull out the win.
Shamhart led Jasper County with 14 points as the team dropped to 2-7.

Altamont and Dieterich split victories Tuesday evening.
Dieterich claimed a 35-18 win in the opener. Dieterich took a 16-9 lead at halftime and went on for the win.
Ja. Holste tallied 16 poitns for the winners. Altamont was led by Carl with six points.
In the eighth-grade contest, Altamont edged Dieterich, 37-36.
Dieterich held a 16-15 halftime lead and led 27-22 going into the final quarter. Altamont then came back with a 15-9 run to pull out the one point win.
Kollmann led Altamont wtih 11 points while Hammer and Eirhart had eight each. Dieterich wasled by Kidd with18 and Britton with 14.

Teutopolis dropped Marshall in both games Tuesday.
T-town won the seventh-grade contest, 45-29. The Wooden Shoes led 25-12 at halftime and had a 10-6 third period.
Mitch Koester led the way with 11points while Eli Hanson and Kolten Tabbert added eight each.
In eighth-grade play, T-town led 26-4 at halftime and that was the game. Brendan Niebrugge and Derke niemerg scored 10 poitns each forthe Shoes.

Newton St. Thomas and Cumberland both picked up a victory in action Tuesday evening.
St. thomas won the seventh-grade game 36-12 with a 17-0 opening quarter. St. Thomas is now 6-0 on the season.
Dylan Gier tallied nine for the winners. cumberland was led by Belesher with five.
In the eighth-grade game, Cumberland claimed a 28-36 victory. Cumberland had a 16-4 second period and that was the difference in the game.
Hendrix tallied nine for the winners. K. Bergbower score dnine for St. Thomas (2-5).

CHBC won the seventh-grade encounter, 50-20. Leading by five at halftime, CHBC then had a 27-2 second half.
Clayton Wojcik tallied 18 points while Carson Evans added 12 for the winners. Windsor was led by Brody Hendrickson with 10.
In eighth-grade play, CHBC downed Windsor, 55-25. CHBC ripped out to a 32-17 halftime lead.
CHBC was led by Trevor Theis with 17 and Kenny Robbins with 14. Windsor was led by Dylan Curry with 12.
