SULLIVAN -- Teutopolis High School edged host Sullivan, 48-42 in girls basketball action Monday evening.
The Wooden Shoes took a 12-11 opening quarter lead then had a 15-5 second period run to lead 27-16 at halftime. Sullivan pulled within 34-30 at halftime due to a 14-7 third quarter but the Shoes got back on track with a 14-12 final period.
Niemerg tallied 17 points for the winners. She scored 10 in the first half then had a seven point final period. Bushur tallied nine.
Grimes and M. Mette pulled down four rebounds each. Mette led in steals with four.

At Strasburg
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg broke a 24-24 tie with a 21-8 third period run and went on to beat Neoga 57-44 in a National Trail Conference matchup Monday.
The Indians held a 14-13 opening quarter lead but WSS came back to tie the score at halftime. The Hatchets then went on a tear with a 21-8 run and maintained that distance in the final quarter.
M. Schlechte scored 16 for the winners while Trussell added 15.
Neoga was led by Mary Hill with 13 and Olivia Titus with eight. Neoga drops to 4-4 on the season.

Altamont stepped out to a 21-10 opening quarter lead and never looked back in a 74-30 win over Dieterich in National Trail Conference play Monday.
Five players hit double figures in even scoring for the Indians. Schultz and Mayhaus led the way with 14 points each while Runge, Guse and McManaway scored 11 points each. Schultz pulled down 11 rebounds while Runge and Ti. Mette had seven assists each. The Indians are 6-1 on the season.
Dieterich was led by Robards with 11 points and Britton with eight.
Altamont won the junior varsity game, 53-20.

BSE stepped out to a 20-9 opening quarter lead and that was the game. The Eagles were led by C. Wilhour with 22 points and Campbell and Oberlink with 14 each. Oberlink pulled down 10 rebounds.
Laney Webster scored 15 for the Cougars while Katlyn Hilmes added nine.

Dunaway scored 18 for the winners while Carr added 12.
