Lady Bulldogs Claim Title at Robinson Tournament

The St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs won the championship of the Robinson Thanksgiving Tournament, defeating Mt. Carmel 56-46 in the title game Saturday.

St. Anthony held a 14-12 edge after one quarter, but extended their lead to 28-20 at halftime, and still led 43-36 after three quarters before outscoring the Lady Aces 13-10 in the final quarter to post the 10-point win.

St. Anthony Coach Bart Wiedman said, "A great job by the seniors; they all stepped up and had 46 of our 56 points. This is a great accomplishment after a poor start on Tuesday. I am extremely proud of all 14 of the girls."

Clare McHugh led St. Anthony with 13 points, while Emma Richards scored 11 points and Shea Kinkelaar 10 points. Also for St. Anthony: Repking 8, Guy 7, Gibson 4, and Jones 3.

Richards and Guy each had four assists, Guy had two steals, and Richards grabbed nine rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the tournament 3-1 and improved to 4-1 overall this season.

Clare McHugh and Shea Kinkelaar were named to the All-Tournament Team.
