Forty points was the norm Tuesday evening as Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School downed Casey-Westfield in both girls basketball contests.
In seventh-grade play, St. Anthony was a 40-5 winner. The Bullpups held a 24-3 halftime lead. Nine players scored in the contest led by M. Kibler and Niemeyer with eight each.
In the eighth-grade game, St. Anthony picked up a 41-5 victory. The Bullpups held Casey-Westfield scoreless while taking a 26-0 halftime lead.
Ten players scored in the game led by Willenborg with 10 points.

At Shelbyville
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split wins with Shelbyville in action Tuesday evening.
Shelbyville was a 31-19 winner in seventh-grade play. Shelbyville held a 19-8 halftime lead and was led by D. Clark with 14 points.
CHBC was led by Ruby Stuckemeyer with seven. CHBC drops to 10-9 on the season.
In eighth-grade action, CHBC took a 33-25 victory to improve to 5-2 on the season.
CHBC had two players hit double digits, Gracie Heckert with 13 and Mady Wojcik with 10.

At Ramsey
Stewardson-Strasburg picked up two victories over Ramsey in Tuesday action.
Stew-Stras improved to 15-4 in seventh-grade play with a 31-13 victory. Stew-Stras took off to a 12-4 opening quarter lead and held Ramsey scoreless for an 18-4 halftime tally.
Vonderheide scored eight while Wernsing tallied seven for the winners.
In the eighth-grade contest, Stew-Stras won 23-16. Leading 16-12 after three quarters. Stew-Stras then had a 7-4 final period.
Richards scored 12 for the winners who improve to 6-13.

Teutopolis downed Salem Franklin Park twice Tuesday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, T-town was a 38-15 winner. The Wooden Shoes held Franklin Park scoreless in the first half, taking a 23-0 lead.
Isabelle Zerrusen tallied 10 points while Molly Pals added eight for the Shoes who are now 15-2 on the season.
In eighth-grade action, T-town won 40-14. The Shoes led 14-8 at halftime then had a 16-0 third quarter run.
Emily Konkel tallied 16 points for the Shoes who improve to 13-2.
