Effingham Sacred Heart downed North Clay (Louisville) twice in boys junior high basketball action Monday evening.
The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade contest, 33-27. Sacred Heart held a 16-9 halftime lead. Noah Biggs tallied 25 points for Sacred Heart. North Clay was led by A. Casolari with 15.
In eighth-grade play, Sacred Heart edged North Clay, 31-29.
The Shamrocks trailed North Clay 13-11 at halftime but tied at 22-22 going into the final quarter. From there, Sacred Heart scored nine points for the win.
N. Wiedman tallied nine while J. McDevitt scored eight for the winners. North Clay was led by L. Fleener with 12 and A. Bosse with nine.

At Oblong
Jasper County picked up two victories over Oblong Monday evening.
Jasper County won the seventh-grade game, 62-22 by jumping out to a 21-9 opening quarter lead.
Isaac Flowers led the way with 18 points while Parker Wolf added 14.
In the eighth-grade game, Jasper County was a 35-20 winner. Jasper County took a 19-2 opening half lead and never looked back.
Ben Street, Gage Ryenolds and Owen Mahaffey had six points each for the winners.
