Effingham St. Anthony split victories with Pana St. Pat's in girls junior high basketball action Monday.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade contest, 27-16. St. Anthony held Pana St. Pat's scoreless in the first and third quarters.

H. Niebrugge tallied eight points for the Bullpups.

In eighth-grade play, Pana St. Pat's claimed a 36-20 victory over St. Anthony.

St. Pat's held a 16-8 opening half lead and had a 10-4 third quarter. A. Beyers led the way with 20 points.

St. Anthony was led by Fearday with 14 points.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg and Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond split wins Monday evening.

Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade contest, 27-8. Stew-Stras led 13-0 after the first quarter.

Kinkelaar tallied 14 for the winners who improve to 6-4.

In eighth-grade play, ALAH was a 24-15 winner.

Stew-Stras was led by Kinkelaar with eight points. Stew-Stras is 2-6.
