Effingham Sacred Heart and Neoga split junior high games Thursday evening.

Neoga was a 44-18 winner in seventh-grade action. Hill tallied 10 points for Neoga. Sacred Heart was led by Helmink with 12.

In the eighth-grade contest, the Shamrocks won 36-13. Shafer tallied eight for the winners while Moran scored nine for Neoga.

At St. Anthony

St. Anthony downed Altamont 35-30 in seventh-grade play while Altamont took a 53-30 victory in eighth-grade action.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade game in overtime. St. Anthony led 19-17 at halftime and 27-23 going into the final period. Altamont tied the score at 30-30 sending the game into overtime where St. Anthony scored five points for the win. Alex Deters had 11 for the winners. Altamont was led by B. Runge with 13.

In eighth-grade action, Altamont had three players hit double figures. Armstrong and Shepard led with 12 each while Finn added 10. St. Anthony was led by Ethan Greene with 10.

At Windsor

Stewardson-Strasburg captured the seventh-grade game 32-24 after holding Windsor scoreless in the first quarter.

Stew-Stras was led by Kramer with 10 points. Windsor was led by Rawlings with eight.

In eighth-grade play, Windsor won 33-28. Windsor led 16-14 at halftime and then had a 9-6 final period run. Hutchinson led with 15 points while Moschenrose led led Stew-Stras with 19.

At Dieterich

Dieterich and Beecher City captured a victory each. Dieterich was a 32-12 winner in the seventh-grade game. Mellendorf and Radloff tallied 10 points each for the winners. Stoldt and Galloway scored six each for Beecher City.

In the eighth-grade game, Beecher City captured a 32-27 win. Strauch led the Beecher City charge with 15 points. Dieterich was led by Higgs with 12.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis edged Salem Franklin Park 36-35 in seventh-grade action Thursday evening.

The Wooden Booties took a 20-16 halftime lead. Salem came back with a 10-5 third period run to take a 26-25 lead going into the final period. T-town then had an 11-9 run to pull out the win. Lee Hardiek was the lone T-town player in double figures with 15.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town claimed a 36-27 win. The Booties held a 22-10 halftime lead. Chris Ungrund scored seven and Blake Mette six for T-town as eight players hit the scoreboard.
