Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City defeated Effingham Sacred Heart in girls junior high school basketball Tuesday.
CHBC won the seventh-grade encounter, 36-18. Ruby Stuckemeyer led the winners with 10 points while Marissa Summers added eight. CHBC improves to 6-0 on the season.
The Shamrocks were led by Zeigler with 12 points.
In eighth-grade action, CHBC was a 43-8 winner and remains unbeaten at 6-0.
Gracie Heckert scored 21 for the winners while Mady Wojcik added eight.
Sherrod led Sacred Heart with five points.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis claimed two wins over Charleston Tuesday evening.
The Wooden Shoes stepped out to an 8-0 lead in seventh-grade play and went on for a 23-12 win. Summer Wall and Isabelle Zerrusen had five points each for the winners.
In eighth-grade action, T-town won 35-19. The Shoes held a 21-9 halftime lead.
Emily Konkel led in even scoring with eight points.

At Neoga
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg captured two victories over Neoga in National Trail Conference play Tuesday.
WSS won the seventh-grade contest, 29-6 to improve to 3-2 in the conference, 4-2 overall.
Kinkelaar and Hayes had six points each for the winners. Kepp, Mohnen and Richards had two each for Neoga.
In the eighth-grade game, WSS led 12-8 at halftime then went on for a 31-28 victory.
Kinkelaar scored 20 for the winners. Richards led Neoga with 10. WSS improves to 1-4 in the conference, 1-5 overall.

At Vandalia
Altamont won the seventh-grade contest over host Vandalia Tuesday, 41-25.
Altamont led 21-14 at halftime. Grace Nelson led the way with 15 points while teammate Peyton Osteen added 13.
In the eighth-grade contest, Vandalia edged Altamont, 29-23.
Vandalia took a 15-11 halftime lead and led by two going into the final quarter. Vandalia then had a 10-6 run for the win.
Altamont was led by Nelson with nine points.
