MATTOON -- Teutopolis Junior High School split victories with host Mattoon Monday in girls basketball.

The Wooden Shoes won the eighth-grade contest, 25-14. Emily Konkel tallied 11 points while Katie Kremer added 10.

In seventh-grade play, Mattoon claimed a 32-15 win. Ellie Thoele led T-town with seven points.

At Cowden

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City continues to roll along.

CHBC defeated Nokomis in seventh-grade action, 20-12 to improve to 5-0 on the season. CHBC was led by Ruby Stuckemeyer with nine.

In the eighth-grade contest, CHBC was a 37-29 winner. Gracie Heckert scored 168 points while Harleigh Bunch had 10. CHBC improves to 5-0.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg and Sigel St. Michael split wins Monday evening.

Stew-Stras was a 22-16 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Wernsing and Vonderheide had seven points each for the winners who improve to 3-2. St. Michael was led by Budde with five.

In the eighth-grade contest, St. Michael picked up the 41-15 victory. The Sharpshooters were led by Niebrugge with 17.

Stew-Stras was led by Kinkelaar with 11. The squad drops to 0-5.
