Junior High Girls Basketball -- Sept. 17

North Clay (Louisville) came calling at Effingham Sacred Heart and handed the Shamrocks a 41-6 loss in junior high girls basketball competition Monday.

North Clay took a 14-2 opening quarter lead and led 28-2 at halftime. The winners had three players hit double figures. Alexis Fleener tallied 19 points while Miah Ballard had 12 and Camdyn Tappendorf added 10.

Sacred Heart was led by Katie Zeigler, Emma Helmink and Corina Hecht with two each.
