ST. ELMO -- Dieterich and St. Elmo/Brownstown split wins in junior high boys basketball action Tuesday evening.
Dieterich was a winner in the seventh-grade contest 34-24. Dieterich held St. Elmo/Brownstown scoreless in a 10-0 opening quarter and then had a 10-2 third period run. Radloff tallied 14 for the winners. Brown led St. E/B with 11.
In eighth-grade play, St. Elmo/Brownstown claimed a 41-21 victory. The host squad stepped out to an 18-3 opening quarter lead. Austin scored 13 and Feezel 11 for the winners. Dieterich was led by Bloemer with six.

At Altamont
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County edged Altamont 41-37. Jasper County held a 24-12 halftime lead and led 31-20 going into the final quarter. Altamont mounted a comeback bid, outscoring Jasper County 17-10 in the final quarter but fell short.
Jasper County was led by Joe Stone with 17 and N. Meinhart with 10. Altamont was led by Ryan Armstrong with 17.
