Illinois routs Ohio State; College Roundup

The 11-ranked University of Illinois men's basketball team routed eight-ranked Ohio State in Champaign, beating the Buckeyes, 74-55.
Brandon Paul led Illinois with 19 points as the ILlini evened their record at 1-1 in the Big Ten Conference and moved to 14-2 overall.
Men: Eastern Kentucky 78, SIUE 72
RICHMOND, Ky. – Despite connecting on a season-high 60 percent of its shots, SIUE dropped a 78-72 decision to Eastern Kentucky in Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball Saturday at McBrayer Arena.
The Cougars, now 4-8 overall and 0-2 in the OVC, hit 27 of 45 field goal attempts in the game, including 7 of 13 tries from three-point range. The 27 made field goals were the most for the Cougars against a Division I opponent this season, and second only to 29 made baskets against Eureka.
Mark Yelovich scored 14 points, to move into third place on SIUE's all-time scoring list. Yelovich now has 1,268 points for his career. He moved past John Edwards who scored 1,267 points from 1985-87. Yelovich was 4 of 6 from the floor and 6 of 8 from the free throw line. He also paced the Cougars with a game-high seven rebounds.
Women: SIUE 73, Eastern Kentucky 69 (OT)
RICHMOND, Ky. – SIUE women's basketball handed Eastern Kentucky its first home loss of the season Saturday with a 73-69 overtime triumph at McBrayer Arena.
SIUE hit 10 free throws in the final minute of overtime in sealing the victory. The Cougars improved their season record to 7-7 overall and 1-1 in Ohio Valley Conference play.
Four SIUE players scored in double figures. Tierney Austin matched her career high with 18 points. Raven Berry picked up 15 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. CoCo Moore scored 14 points for her fifth consecutive game in double figures. Point guard Courtney Kenner added 12 with all seven of her free throws made coming in overtime.
