Effingham Sacred Heart and Dieterich split wins in seventh and eighth-grade boys basketball competition Thursday.
Dieterich was a 38-15 winner in seventh-grade play. Higgs tallied 12 for the winners while Helmink led the Shamrocks with 11.
In the eighth-grade contest, Sacred Heart was a 45-30 winner. Four players hit double digits for the Shamrocks. Smith and Tegeler tallied 12 each while J. Bushue added 11 and Shafer 10. Dieterich was led by C. Thoele with 14.

The St. Anthony eighth-grade team beat Shelbyville Moulton 36-26. Drew Gibson led with 16 points.
The Bullpups are now 8-5 on the season.

At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg and Teutopolis B split wins. Stew-Stras was a 34-16 winner in seventh-grade action.
Thies tallied 14 for the winners. T-town was led by Young with four. Stew-Stras is now 12-5 on the season.
In eighth-grade action, Teutopolis claimed a 46-17 win. Bloemer scored 11 and Bellfyiue 10 for the winners. Moschenrose led Stew-Stras with 10.
