Nokomis Hands Beecher City Boys Basketball Loss

BEECHER CITY -- Cowden-Herrick High School was within reach throughout the first three quarters but could never right the ship and fell to Nokomis 51-35 in a non-conference boys basketball game Wednesday evening.

Nokomis edged out to a 6-2 opening quarter lead and led 19-13 at halftime. Nokomis then had a 15-11 third quarter edge and outscored the Hornets 17-11 in the final period.

Herbstreith tallied 15 and Wright 12 for the winners. Beecher City was led by Seth Barnes with 19 points.

Beecher City travels to Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran Friday.
