NTC Downs LOVC in 25th Annual All-Star Game

(THE NATIONAL TRAIL CONFERENCE DEFEATED THE LITTLE OKAW VALLEY CONFERENCE 85-82 SATURDAY NIGHT TO WIN THE 25TH ANNUAL CENTRAL ALL-STAR ILLINOIS BASKETBALL GAME. The National Trail Conference All-Stars defeated the Little Okaw Valley Conference All-Stars 85-82 in the 25th Annual Central Illinois All-Star Game at Cumberland High School Saturday night.

Dieterich's Ryan Radloff was the NTC Most Valuable Player, leading all scorers with 23 points. Also in double figures for the NTC was St. Anthony's Alex Beesley with 10 points. Other point totals for the NTC: St. Anthony's Jack Nuxoll 9, Alex Deters of St. Anthony 9, Isaac Kramer of Windsor/Stew-Stras with 8, Callaway Campton of Dieterich 6, Trent Geiler of South Central 4, Lewis Brown of St. Elmo/Brownstown 4, Cade Walsh of St. Anthony 3 with 7 assists, Tyler Higgs of Dieterich 3, Isaac Maxey of St. Elmo/Brownstown 3, Adam Levitt of St. Anthony 2, and Quincy Aldrich of North Clay 1. Drew Ramert of Neoga played but did not score.

Tyson Magee of Cumberland was the LOVC Most Valuable Player, with a team-leading 16 points. Ezra Schaal of LSA was also in double figures with 13 points.

Jack Nuxoll of St. Anthony won the three-point competition, making 10 in the qualifying and 10 more in the finals.

Josh Krumwiede of Dieterich and Bob Lockart of Neoga were the NTC coaches, while David Smith of Tri-County and Obie Farmer of Martinsville were the LOVC coaches. Gary Westjohn, Howard Manuel and Steve Boswell served as the officials for the contest.
