Greenville University's women's basketball team will compete Saturday in the third place game at the NCCAA Division One Tournament in Winona Lake, Indiana.

Greenville, the defending national champions, opened play in the first game of the tournament Wednesday morning, going double overtime to defeat Southwestern Christian University 77-70.

Effingham High School graduate Jantzen Michael got more than 13 minutes of playing time in the contest, scoring three points and grabbing two rebounds.

Greenville then lost its semi-final game Thursday afternoon 62-55 to Concordia University Ann Arbor. Michael, a sophomore at Greenville, pulled down two rebounds in the contest.

The loss puts the Panthers in the third place game Saturday at 10am against Emmanuel College.

Two other Effingham High School graduates, Lauren Stephenson and Sidney Webster, are also on the Greenville squad, along with Neoga graduate Ashley Dryden.
