CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham St. Anthony finished third at the Champaign Centennial Sophomore Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday.
The Bulldogs fell to Champaign Centennial, 65-39 in the opener. Centennial held a 30-21 halftime lead and outscored the Bulldogs 16-8 in the third quarter.
Eli Moore tallied 11 to lead St. Anthony.
In the third place contest, Danville got the upper hand in the opening quarter, 16-6. But the Bulldogs came back with a 17-15 second period to pull within 31-23 at halftime. St. Anthony then had a 17-6 third quarter and a 14-9 final period to win 54-46.
Logan Antrim scored 19 while Connor Walk tallied 12 and Kennan Walsh added 11.
