Altamont Lutheran Interparrish School competed in the 24 team Christ Peoria Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament during the weekend of Feb. 16-18. The tournament features teams from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri.

ALIS won its play-in game over Peoria Christ's B team, 55-18. In that contest, Noah Klimpel tallied 14 points.

Altamont Lutheran then fell to Zion Marengo, 45-33. Marengo ended up claiming third place.

ALIS was led by Klimpel with 12 points.

In the third contest, ALIS defeated Red Bud St. John's, 65-34. Klimpel ripped off 14 first quarter points and finished with 25 to lead the way. Also in double figures was A.J. Kopplin with 13.

ALIS then downed Edwardsville Trinity, 47-43. Klimpel again got ALIS off in the right direction with 11 first quarter points and finished with 21. Quinn Verdeyen tallied 10.

Altamont Lutheran then won the consolation championship by downing Belleville Zion, 38-32.

Klimpel contributed 11 points while Tyler Robbins chipped in with 10.

Klimpel made the 15 player All-Tournament Team. He also finished in a tie for second in the Three-Point Shooting contest. Tyler Robbins finished in second in the Free Throw Shooting contest. The cheerleaders were fourth overall in the Cheerleading competition.

The Rockets finish the season with a 28-5 record.
