Effingham Nabs Frosh/Soph Boys Victories

VANDALIA -- Effingham picked up two victories in freshman/sophomore boys basketball play against Vandalia Saturday.
The Hearts won the freshman contest 55-21. EHS held a 35-13 halftime lead. Sean Zerrusen was the lone player for both teams in double figures with 11. Brady Jackson and Michael Woltman tallied nine points each.
In the sophomore contest, Effingham won 74-31. The Hearts held a 40-18 halftime lead. Five players hit double digits in even scoring. Luis Ramos, Carter Hayes and Evan Holt scored 13 each while Braydon Bone and Kevin Daugherty chipped in with 12 each.
