FARINA -- Effingham St. Anthony pounded home 71 points in downing South Central, 71-36 in boys basketball action Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs ran off to a 22-12 opening quarter lead. Cade Walsh and Alex Deters tallied seven points each in that run. St. Anthony led 39-21 at halftime and 60-30 going into the final quarter.
Three Bulldogs finished in double figures. Deters tallied 20 while Adam Levitt added 14 and Walsh 13. Alex Beesley finished with nine.
South Central was led by Trent Geiler with 11 points while Logan Lotz added eight.
St. Anthony improves to 23-2 on the season.

At Strasburg
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg trailed Pana after the opening quarter but came back strong over the next two periods to win 56-43 in non-conference action.
The Hatchets had three players hit the double figure mark. Christian Kessler, a 6-foot-2 senior, led the way with 22 points while Isaac Kramer added 19 and Gavin Bennett 10.
Windsor/Stew-Stras improves to 11-12 on the season while Pana dropped to 9-15.
Pana won the junior varsity contest, 49-37.

Altamont played host to Neoga and the contest was neck and neck in the opening half before Altamont took off in the third quarter and finished with a 62-54 National Trail Conference win.
Altamont held an 18-17 opening quarter lead and led 31-30 at halftime. Altamont then went on a 14-6 third quarter tear to lead 45-36 going into the final quarter. Neoga came back with an 18-17 final period but couldn't make up that third quarter run by Altamont.
Altamont was led by two players in double digits. Alex Biggs, a 5-foot-9 junior, finished with 21 points while Mitchell Stevenson added 13. Altamont improves to 13-10 on the season.
Neoga was led by Jackson Clark with 16 points and Caleb Hill with nine.
Altamont also edged Neoga in the junior varsity game, 52-50.

Dieterich totally dominated Sandoval in a non-conference contest Tuesday evening, 86-25.
The Movin' Maroons took a 28-4 opening quarter lead and that was the game. Twelve players scored in the game with three in double figures.
Callaway Campton led the way with 18 points while Ryan Radloff added 15 and Collin Hartke 12. Evan Bohnhoff and Tyler Higgs had eight each.

The Bobcats held a 38-29 halftime lead and never looked back.
Dylan Taylor, a sophomore, led the way with 22 points while Dyaln Webster added 21. Marshall Nohren was also in double figures with 11.
Nohren and Taylor pulled down six rebounds each. Nohren had six assists. Taylor and Webster had four steals each.

The Pirates had four players hit double figures. Tyson Magee led the way with 21 points while Zach Wolke scored 19, Brennyn Cutts with 11 and Myles Gerhardt with 11.
