Ramsey Edges WSS, CHBC Drops Contest in Boys Basketball

RAMSEY -- Ramsey High School edged Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in a non-conference boys basketball game Wednesday evening, 55-54.

The Hatchets held a 15-13 opening quarter lead and led 31-24 at halftime and 45-35 going into the final quarter. Ramsey then mounted a huge comeback with a 20-9 run to pull out the victory.

Christian Kessler tallied 16 points while Isaac Kramer added 11 for the Hatchets. Windsor/Stew-Stras drops to 9-11 on the season.

WSS won the junior varsity contest, 41-8.

At Oblong

Oblong handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a 70-43 non-conference boys basketball loss Wednesday.

CHBC took a 16-14 opening quarter lead but trailed 28-24 at halftime. CHBC came back with a 15-13 third quarter but Oblong went on a tear, outscoring the Bobcats 29-4 in the final period.

CHBC was led by Nick Miller with 14 and Dylan Webster with 12. Keegan Martin pulled down nine rebounds.
