EHS, T-town Still Ranked in Girls State Polls

Effingham and Teutopolis are still among the state's leaders in the Associated Press boys and girls basketball rankings.
Effingham stands at No. 6 in the Class 3A Girls State Poll. The Hearts have a 19-1 record on the poll with 52 points and moved up a spot from seventh place. Charleston now sits in seventh with a 20-1 record and 44 points. The Trojans were previously in eighth place.
The Teutopolis girls dropped a spot from eighth place to ninth. The Wooden Shoes had a 21-4 record and have 36 points.
The lone area team in the boys polls is Effingham St. Anthony. The Bulldogs are in the others receiving votes category with four.
