Frosh/Soph Boys Basketball -- Jan. 25

Effingham played host to Marshall in freshman/sophomore boys basketball competition and lost in both contests Thursday evening.

The Hearts fell in freshman action, 45-37. EHS held a 26-24 halftime lead but Marshall came back with a 14-8 third quarter and claimed the win.

Effingham was led by Drew Thompson with 15 points.

In the sophomore game, Marshall captured a 56-35 victory.

The Lions led 26-18 at halftime and 43-24 going into the final quarter. The Hearts were led by Austin Waldhoff with 13 points.
